About this Event
1600 E. Golf Road, Des Plaines, IL 60016
The Peace and Social Justice Program presents the "Who Will Govern? Making Sense of the U.S. 2024 U.S. Elections" event. Keith Simonds, assistant professor of Political Science at Oakton College, leads this event.
The 2024 elections have received a lot of attention, but most of that attention has focused on the ‘horserace’ between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump. The presidential race is extraordinarily close, and the outcome will have enormous impacts that will be felt across the United States and beyond. In close elections like this, every vote truly matters as control of both the US Senate and House of Representatives are both up for grabs.
In this talk, Simonds will discuss both the impacts of the outcome of the presidential election and the many other races and issues that will be on the ballot across the country.
