Please join Kristin McCartney’s Feminist and Queer Theory class (Phl 290) in a discussion of writings by members of the What Would an HIV Doula Do Collective. This discussion is part of a campus-wide series, “Oakton Reads WGSS: Intersectional and transnational feminisms.” It is also part of the Women's Herstory Month series.

The Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) Program invites you to participate in a collaborative learning experience where students, faculty, staff and the public can engage in a series of reading discussions on intersectional and transnational feminisms. Each session in the series is hosted by a different class, providing various interdisciplinary perspectives on topics of gender and sexuality at the intersections of race, ethnicity and globalization.

We hope you will join us in this unique opportunity to engage in campus-wide discussions on current global issues of gender justice.
