Brad Stone

Brad Stone had a long career with the U.S. government as a senior public affairs executive - including leading the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) public affairs operations and the U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's (SAMHSA) public affairs staff.

 

He currently pursues his lifelong interest in the Civil War by regularly volunteering as a docent at the National Museum of Civil War Medicine in Frederick, MD, and aboard the U.S.S. Constellation in Baltimore Harbor. Recently, he was appointed to the Board of Directors for the Monocacy National Battlefield Foundation.

 

Over the past few years, he gave presentations on various Civil War-related topics at many schools, churches, museums and other venues. He presented talks at the Gettysburg Heritage Center in Gettysburg, PA; the Clara Barton Missing Soldiers Office Museum National Park in Washington, DC; the Antietam National Battlefield Park in Antietam, MD and the U.S. Navy Museum at the Navy Yard in Washington, DC. Several of his presentations have been broadcast nationally by CSPAN 3 American History TV.
