Please join the Wellness Center this September for our Suicide Prevention Month activities. We will be running awareness campaigns the week of September 15th in Skokie and September 22nd in Des Plaines. 

This will include tabling on Student Street and an invitation to the community to "Start the conversation. Be the difference" whenever you an concerned about someone's mental health. 

In addition, Mobile Crisis Support Units from community agencies will be parked on our campuses from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. on September 17th in Skokie and September 23rd in Des Plaines. These vehicles are designed to provide crisis support and educational outreach. Oakton community members are welcome to pop over for a quick tour and to learn about this free and invaluable resource in our community.
