Phi Theta Kappa hosts their first Annual Food Drive to help address basic needs at Oakton College through The Caring Closet, a space where Oakton students can access non-perishable food and self-care items.

Research shows that students whose basic needs are unmet are more likely to struggle academically. Oakton strives to ensure that everyone has an equal opportunity to succeed and the Caring Closet was established to respond to this challenge and help students get the resources they need to focus on their education.

If you are able, please consider donating some of the following items to help Oakton students succeed: protein bars, granola bars, fish crackers, rice, canned meat/vegetables, dried or dehydrated fruit packs, pasta and pasta sauce.

Donation boxes are located in the Main Lobby at both Des Plaines and Skokie campuses.
