National Denim Day is on Wednesday, April 30. Join us at Oakton College as we honor National Denim Day on April 23 at Student Street on both campuses.

The Denim Day campaign originated in 1999 to combat the all-too-common victim blaming attached to sexual violence. It stems from outrage over the Italian Supreme Court overturning a rape conviction, stating the survivor’s tight denim jeans implied consent to rape. On National Denim Day, people wear denim to show solidarity with survivors. Show your solidarity against sexual violence for this year’s National Denim Day
