Gems from the Koehnline exhibition features selected works from the Koehnline’s permanent collection, with one section dedicated to artist and former Oakton art instructor Bill Moll, who passed away recently. Other works include new acquisitions by Chicago-based Great Depression-era artists Todros Geller, Samuel Greenburg, Leonard Havens, David Bekker, William Jacobs, William Schwartz and Miriam McKinnie. Additional new acquirements on display are works by Margaret Burroughs including her iconic image of Black Venus and Joseph Meert’s painting that depicts a grieving crowd after the assassination of John F. Kennedy. 

 

The Public Reception takes place on Thursday, December 14, 2023, 5 – 8 p.m.

 

Viewings take place from Thursday, December 14, 2023 – Friday, January 26, 2024, during regular museum hours.
