Join us for a discussion and experiential sound bath exploring sound and vibration, nervous system regulation, and embodied resilience for sustainable activism. The session will be facilitated by healing arts practitioner, movement guide, and sound meditation facilitator Amera Al-Ali.
This event is open to Oakton students, faculty and staff. Spots are limited, and RSVPs are required. Register through Eventbrite to get your free ticket.
Wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat or blanket if you have one. Yoga mats will also be available. No prior experience with yoga or meditation is required. Light refreshments will be provided.
The Oakton Wellness Center and Humanities and Philosophy; Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGSS); Peace and Social Justice Studies; and Global Studies departments cohost the event.
