DESCRIPTION:Keeping track of all your sources can be frustrating and overwh
elming\, but managing sources can be a breeze with a little organization.
In this Academic Success and Beyond Workshops session\, you'll learn about
Zotero. Zotero is a powerful\, easy-to-use research tool that helps you g
ather\, organize and analyze sources and then share the results of your re
search. The Library’s Sylvia Rosillo leads this workshop. \n\n \n\nAbout
the Academic Success and Beyond Workshops:\n\nStudent Success Workshops e
nhance the successful transition process students undergo in pursuing thei
r goals. This transition is achieved by connecting skills and strategies t
o their learning.\n\n \n\nThe sessions allow for candid discussions to tak
e place and for students to articulate their experiences by formulating st
rategies together. The balance between learning and relationship building
provides a richer experience that validates the perspectives of everyone i
nvolved as a part of the process.\n\n \n\nThe Workshop series enables stud
ents to engage with faculty\, students and staff in a high-quality co-curr
icular relationship. The goal is to allow students to explore how to talk
 to professors\, understand learning styles\, time-management/prioritizatio
n and identify and manage stress. These goals are achieved by providing st
udents with the opportunity to think critically about their non-cognitive
abilities and identify existing gaps.\n\n \n\nAll workshops are held in a
 flex/hybrid format. You can join in-person at the CCID\, Room 1433 (DP)\,
or you can join virtually. \n\n \n\nPlease visit Oakton College's Learning
Center and TRIO Student Support for additional information.
