Audition for Oakton College's staged reading of 9/11 Performing Tribute: Ordinary People, Remarkable Stories by Donna Kaz, directed by Mary Ringstad-Gagliano.

About the Production:

The production tells the true stories of people whose lives were forever changed by the events of Sept. 11 through a series of firsthand accounts.

This extraordinary 9/11 production weaves together the perspectives of 10 people whose lives were directly affected by the events of Sept. 11. They include family members who lost loved ones; survivors of the North and South towers; a resident evacuated from the area; a volunteer rescue worker who survived the towers' collapse; a retired FDNY firefighter who responded to the site; a New York City Department of Sanitation employee who volunteered in the rescue effort; and a New Jersey resident who worked with the Salvation Army during the recovery.

The production weaves these firsthand accounts into a theatrical presentation that highlights each person's unique and inspiring response.
